Heres my first DJ mix. I'm kinda crap, and I'm just beginning. This is my first mix I thought was decent enough to upload- it contains 3 or 4 massive errors, but apart from that I'm pretty pleased with it. We all begin somewhere.
The Copenhagen based messiah of minimal techno is returning. But this time he brings something very different from the usual stripped-down and cold electronic sounds. His new album, Into the Great Wide Yonder, is almost completely acoustic. More psychedelic, organic and druggy than his old releases. It is a shocking turn, but it may be amazing.
Sycamore Feeling is the first single to be released from it, and whilst it doesn't reach the goose bump enduring heights of singles from his previous album The Last Resort it is pretty interesting and worth checking out.
Also, Mr.Anders Trentemoller has recently released this mix that kinda reflects his own new musical style. Check it:
Here is Designer Drug's Datamix 09. I've listened to it, and its pretty fucking good- although maybe a tiiiiny bit ropey in some parts. Its the usual affair- cutting edge and blistering electro/house. But with a bit more of a gritty dubstep tinge perhaps? This is interesting, as long as the duo don't go into mediocrity and DJ straight dubstep. This won't happen though.
In other DD news: they have recently left their label- Franki Chan's IHEARTCOMIX- for Steve Aoki's label. An interesting move, its a shame- because I am always rooting for Franki- but I'm sure they will feel more at home where they are now.
They also have an LP on the way.
Watch this space.
